An in-depth evaluation of a person’s lifestyle, epigenetics, gut health, immune system, toxin exposures, and blood sugar balance—as it correlates to the cancer process, with a heavily metabolic, focused nutrition plan of care. This type of care supports the patient to actively participate in their overall plan of care, to make informed decisions about their treatment, and to evaluate lifestyle choices.
Integrative oncology is a patient-centered, evidence-informed approach to preventing and treating a cancer diagnosis. The focus on Integrative Oncology is to offer patients the full array of options that aligns best with their treatment goals. We collaborate with Oncology teams to combine conventional cancer treatments alongside complementary therapies. The focus is to optimize health, quality of life, and clinical outcomes. It is a type of holistic care which focuses on the whole individual, mind, body, and spirit to address not only the disease itself but also the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the person throughout their cancer experience.
